A high-volume domestic automotive dealership in North New Jersey is seeking an experienced General Sales Manager (GSM) to lead and grow our sales operation. This role is ideal for a proven desk manager with strong leadership skills and a track record of driving volume, gross, and accountability.
Oversee all new and used vehicle sales operations
Desk deals and structure transactions to maximize profitability
Lead, coach, and hold Sales Managers and Sales Consultants accountable
Drive performance in CRM, internet leads, and phone processes
Manage inventory, pricing strategy, and market competitiveness
Partner with F&I and ownership to achieve store goals
Maintain strong CSI, compliance, and ethical sales standards
5+ years of automotive sales management experience
Prior GSM experience strongly preferred
Strong desking, closing, and forecasting ability
Experience in a domestic brand environment (Ford, Chevy, CDJR, etc.)
Proven ability to recruit, train, and develop teams
CRM and digital retailing experience
